What should I do if my parents want to visit me in Taiwan?

Parents of foreign spouses may apply for family based visitor visa to the consulates and missions of ROC aboard.

An original and a duplicate copy of passport (relevant pages)
A visa application form including 2 4x6 photographs taken within the past 3 months
An original copy and a duplicate copy of relationship certificate the original copy will be returned.chinese translation copy may be needed upon request .
Foreign spouses ARC ,APRC and an original copy of household certificate transcript issued within the previous 3 months
copy of marriage certificate
copies of childrens resident visa alien resident certificate or ID card of the ROC
If applicants come for daughters postpartum care please attach certificate issued by Taiwan based hospitals.
A letter of explanation written by Taiwan native son or daughter in law No format restriction but contents should include the reason of stay and contact information and an attached ID card or copy of visa with signature.
you may need to have a person living in Taiwan standing guarantee for you upon request .
